Our Doctrinal Statement

1. Bible

We believe the Bible is divine revelation, that the original writing of the Old and New Testaments were verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit and are therefore the infallible Word of God and that it is the only perfect rule and final authority in all matters pertaining to Christian faith and practice (1Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

2. Trinity

We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all things (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:8, 48:16; Matthew 38:19-20; John 10;30; Hebrews 1:3).

  A.  God the Father

We believe in the person of God the Father, an infinite, eternal, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He                     concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all those who             come to Him through Jesus Christ (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalm 90:2, 102:27; John 3:16, 4:24; 1 Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3).

   B.  God the Son

We believe in the person of Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus            Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily            resurrection, sand in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Matthew 1:18; John 1:1-18; Romans 5:8-9; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4,                    Hebrews 1).

   C.  God the Holy Spirit

We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and                      judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ (John 16:8-11; Acts 1:8, Romans 8:26, 15:13,               16: 2 Corinthians 3;18; Hebrews 9:14). We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding helper,           teacher, and guide who seals the believer until the day of redemption, (John 16:13, 14:16-17, 16:8-11; Romans 8:26; Ephesians 1:14).

3. Man

We believe that God created man, male and female, after His own image in righteousness and holiness, with dominion over the creatures (Genesis 1:26-27; 2:7, 21-23; 5:1-2; Mark 10:6-7; 1 Corinthians 11:8, 9; 1 Timothy 2:13). However, man has fallen from his holy state through the sin of Adam and Eve, resulting in spiritual death and broken fellowship with God which can only be remedied by personal faith in Jesus Christ. Adam's original sin affected him and all his descendants because all have inherited the sinful nature of the human race (Romans 3:23;      Ephesians 2).

4. Church

We believe the global church consists of all those who are born again and who truly believe in Jesus Christ, that it is the Body and Bride of Christ, and that its primary mission is to witness for Christ among all nations (Acts 1:8, 15:14-18, Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:19-22; 5:25-27). We believe that the local church is an assembly of professing believers in one locality (Matthew 18:17; Acts 8:1, 11:22, 26; 12:1, 5; 14:23, 27).

5. Angels

We believe that angels were created in righteousness by a direct act of God's will (Psalm 148:2, 5; Ezekiel 28:14-15; Mark 8:38; Luke 9:26), but some fell from righteousness. Angels are personal, finite spirits (Psalm 104:4; Hebrews 1:7, 14) with great abilities, but they are not all knowing, all powerful, nor present in all places at all times.

6. Satan and the Demons

We believe that Satan is a fallen angel, the author of sin, and the cause of the fall of mankind; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; and that he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire (Job 1:6-7; Isaiah 14:12*17; Matthew 4:2-11; 25:41; Revelation 20:10). The demons are evil angels that chose to follow Satan and are confirmed in evil (Matthew 8:29; 25:41; Luke 8:28-31; Hebrews 2:16; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:9, 20:10).

7. Salvation

We believe that all who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior become the children of God. We believe that eternal life is a present possession of children of God and that death, their spirits depart to be with Christ in conscious blessedness. We believe that at Christ's coming for the church, their bodies will be raised, and together with living believers on earth at that time, they shall be transformed into the likeness of the body of His glory (John 1:12; 3:16; 10:10; Romans 3:23; 5:8; 6:23; 10:9-10; 13; 1 Corinthians 15:51; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

8. Christian Experience

    A.   Assurance of Salvation

Assurance of salvation is the privilege of all who are born again by the Spirit through faith in Christ and results in love, gratitude, and                    obedience toward God (John 10:27-29; Romans 8:35-39).

   B.   Sanctification

Sanctification is dedication to God and separation from evil. In experience, it is both instantaneous and progressive. It is produced in the              life of believers by the appropriation of the power of Christ's blood and risen life through the person of the Holy Spirit who draws                        believers' att3ention to Christ, teaches them through the Word, and produces the character of Christ within them. Believers who sin                    must repent and trust in forgiveness through faith in the cleansing blood of Christ (John 17:17-19; Romans 6:11-18; 2 Corinthians 6:14;            7:1; Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Timothy 2:19-22; Hebrews 10:10; 1 Peter 1:14-23; 2 Peter 1:3-4; 1 John 1:9; 2:1-2).

9. Return of Jesus Christ

We believe in the personal, imminent, and visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 25:31; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19:11-16).

10. Heaven and Hell

   A.   Heaven

We believe that the souls of the saved are, at death, absent from the body and immediately present with the Lord in eternal joyful                        fellowship, where they await the first resurrection at Christ's return, when soul and body are reunited and changed into their glorified                  and imperishable state, forever to be with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth. We believe that believers will appear before                the judgment seat of Christ where they will be rewarded for their works that are judged worthy of reward. (Luke 23:43; Romans 8:23, 30;            1 Corinthians 15:42-a44, 50-55; 2 Corinthians 5:6-10; Philippians 1:23; 3:21; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:4-6; 21).

   B.   Hell

We believe that the souls of the unsaved remain after death in conscious torment until the second resurrection, when with soul and                    body  reunited, they shall appear at the Great White Throne of Judgement and will be thrown into hell, the Lake of Fire, to suffer eternal            conscious punishment (Isaiah 66:24; Daniel 12;2; Matthew 23:41-46: Mark 9:43-48; Luke 16:19-26; John 5:28-29; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-            9; Jude 6-7; Revelation 14:9-11; 20:5, 11-15, 21:8).
